Airlines operating at Mazatlán Airport
Mazatlán keeps direct service to Mexico’s main cities and to a solid list of destinations in the United States and Canada. The offering is split between low-cost carriers, traditional airlines and operators that only show up in high season, when beach tourism drives demand between December and Easter.
Domestic flights
In the domestic market, VivaAerobus and Volaris concentrate most of the frequencies. VivaAerobus connects with Mexico City, Monterrey, Tijuana, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez and Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). Volaris flies to Tijuana, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Querétaro. Aeroméxico holds its route to the capital, while TAR — with flights to Querétaro and La Paz — and Mexicana round out the network with more occasional service.
International flights
Abroad, the most constant link is with the United States: American Airlines flies to Dallas-Fort Worth and Phoenix, Alaska Airlines to Los Angeles, Delta to Minneapolis/Saint Paul and United to Houston in certain months. The Canadian route is led by WestJet during the winter, with departures to Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg and other cities; seasonal operators such as Sun Country join in when the season peaks.
